Wellness programs, as an employer benefit, continue to grow and evolve, both nationally and locally. This program will outline the benefits of a comprehensive worksite wellness program to the employee, employer and the community as a whole. Building a successful wellness program takes time and resources. We will provide an overview of what those resources look like and how to get started down the right path in order to see outcomes. With many options available, it is also important to know what is important to your organization and employees in order to navigate the vast amount of options and vendors available.
A well designed and implemented wellness program will lead to more engaged employees, higher employee satisfaction with improved health, and an opportunity to be an employer of choice in a time of competitive employee benefits
Learning Objectives:
1. Understand the impact and potential outcomes of offering a work site wellness program (presenteeism, absenteeism, employee satisfaction/retention/recruitment, health care expenses)
2. Understand options and opportunities within work site wellness programs for each unique employer group
3. Understand how to get started and basic needs of providing a successful work site wellness program
