As an HR professional, your voice provides a unique perspective that members of the Kansas House of Representatives and Senate may not have considered. By joining forces with other HR professionals, you can directly affect the outcome of pending legislation and regulations. By becoming involved, your actions will ultimately benefit employers and employees across the state of Kansas.
The Kansas HR Voice has been very influential in shaping numerous HR bills/regulations in the state of Kansas over the past 10 years. Most recently, KS SHRM and affiliate chapters were instrumental partners in the coalition efforts to reform the state Workers Compensation and Unemployment Insurance systems in recent years. The work comp and UI reforms together were projected to save Kansas employers more than $100 Million in 2015 and 2016 alone. Additional information can be found in the KS SHRM: HR Impact / Statehouse Flyer below.
