What’s the difference between intelligence (IQ) and emotional intelligence (EQ)? In this program, Al Schmidt, explains that they are finding that it’s not so much how smart one is intellectually (IQ), but instead how smart one is emotionally(EQ) that best predicts personal and professional success. This training is an introduction to the concepts, insights, and skills of Emotional Intelligence in the workplace. This training is specifically geared to give a general overview of the primary concepts and insights of Emotional Intelligence and is efficacy when understood and infused into workplace culture. Al Schmidt LSCSW, LSMFT, is licensed in Kansas as a Clinical Social Worker and Marriage and Family therapist. He has provided therapy in both inpatient and outpatient settings for some twenty years. For the last fifteen years he has been a consultant, first with St. Francis Medical Center, and now with Via Christi’s Access Employee Assistance Program.
