Without a doubt, these are very difficult times. Organizations are downsizing, rightsizing, and often, capsizing. Employee separations are a fact of business life, but they can be managed effectively and productively for both the company and the individual who is separating. In this program, we’ll offer strategic steps to conduct effective involuntary separation meetings, which will result in:
* Reduced trauma and difficulty for the separated individual.
* Ability to demonstrate your strategic leadership throughout the process, as you prepare your Managers on how to communicate to the separating employee and those remaining with the organization.
* Fewer legal and community PR problems for your company.
* Perception by the separating employee that he/she was treated humanely and with dignity.
* Direct impact on the bottom line, as a well-managed downsizing results in fewer wrongful discharge lawsuits.
