Congress decided to redefine disability under the ADA to broaden its impact and scope. These changes will undoubtedly result in more claims and litigation under the new 2008 amendments to the ADA. Employers must be careful on how to navigate the new ADA. This program will provide HR professionals information on the amendments and practices for compliance.

Jeff C. Spahn is an attorney with Martin, Pringle, Oliver, Wallace, and Bauer. Mr. Spahn has tried over 60 jury and bench trials in a number of states in the fields of Aviation Law, Products Liability Law, Commercial Litigation, and Employment Law cases. He has also handled successfully a number of arbitrations before the AAA and ICC, and has argued appeals in a number of state and federal courts. He also practices in the OSHA compliance area. Mr. Spahn received his bachelor's degree from Washburn University and his JD from the University of Kansas School of Law. He is a member of the Kansas and Wichita Bar Associations.
