The presenter will review several employment related court cases that are significant to Kansas employers decided during the immediately preceding 12 months. While pertinent facts and key holdings from the cases will be reviewed as necessary, the primary goal of the presenter is to illustrate the practical impact of these decisions on day-to-day human resource management.
Jeffrey B. Hurt, JD, SPHR, is an attorney and shareholder at Martin & Churchill, Chartered, located in Wichita, KS, practicing in the areas of labor and employment, business and health care law, and the defense of related litigation since 1989. Jeff is a graduate of Wichita State University, the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Pharmacy and Washburn Law School.
