This informative program will discuss the cost of stress in the workplace and the HR’s impact in dealing with stress within the organization. As HR professionals, it’s important to recognize the example we set to management and employees by how we handle the cards we are dealt. He will outline what stress is and isn’t as well as the signs of stress on employees and management. He will look at what causes stress in the workplace and participants will be given tools to reduce stress and its effects. Rick Ekum, currently HR Manager for Hampel Oil, is an expert in Stress Management and has taught classes on the subject at Wichita State University since 1997. He has an extensive training background and has presented many programs including: Process Based Leadership, Time Management, Change Leadership, Tai Chi, and Qigong. His experience includes four years as an HR Business Partner at Learjet and as a Final Assembly Manager at Raytheon prior to that. Rick received his Bachelors Degree from Friends University in Human Resource Management and Masters Degree from Kansas State University in Adult & Continuing Education. He is an active SHRM member and DeMolay, State Order of Priory as life member, past Master Counselor & State Deputy Master Counselor. Certification is currently pending for this event which is sponsored by Foulston Siefkin LLP. |
